You’ll have electronics that turn on every time, navigation systems you can trust in rough weather, and audio that sounds crisp even at high speeds. No more wondering if your fishfinder will work when you need it most.
Your GPS won’t lose signal when you’re miles offshore. Your stereo won’t cut out when you hit a wave. Everything connects properly, stays connected, and performs exactly how the manufacturer designed it to work.
That’s what happens when marine electronics are installed correctly the first time by people who understand both boats and electronics.
We’ve been serving boat owners in Wheatley Heights and throughout Long Island for years. We’ve seen the damage that comes from rushed installations and shortcuts.
Half-crimped connections that fail when you’re 20 miles out. Wrong gauge wire that can’t handle the load. Systems that work fine at the dock but fail under real conditions.
We do things differently. Every connection is properly crimped and sealed. Every wire is marine-grade and correctly sized. Every installation follows ABYC standards because your safety depends on it.
First, we come to your boat and assess exactly what you need. We look at your current setup, discuss how you use your boat, and design a system that makes sense for your specific situation.
Next, we create a detailed installation plan with a realistic timeline. No vague estimates or surprise delays. You know exactly when we’ll start and when you’ll be back on the water.
Then we install everything using proper marine-grade components and techniques. Every wire is run cleanly, every connection is weatherproofed, and every system is tested thoroughly before we consider the job complete.
Ready to get started?
Your marine electronics installation includes custom mounting fabrication, proper marine wiring with appropriate gauge and protection, weatherproof connections throughout the system, and complete system integration so everything works together seamlessly.
Long Island’s marine environment is particularly harsh on electronics. Salt air, constant moisture, and temperature swings destroy improperly installed systems quickly. We use marine-specific components designed for these conditions.
Every installation comes with manufacturer warranties on equipment and our guarantee on workmanship. We’re NMEA certified, which means we meet the industry standards that manufacturers require for warranty coverage.
Installation time depends on the complexity of your system, but most projects take 2-4 days. A basic fishfinder and GPS might be done in one day, while a complete electronics package with custom dashboard work takes longer.
We give you a realistic timeline upfront based on your specific project. We don’t rush installations because proper marine wiring and connections take time to do right.
Weather can affect our schedule since we need dry conditions for certain parts of the installation. We’ll keep you updated if conditions cause delays.
We work on everything from small fishing boats to large yachts. Each boat presents different challenges – space constraints on smaller vessels, complex electrical systems on larger ones.
The installation approach varies significantly between a 20-foot center console and a 50-foot sportfisher. We have the experience and tools to handle both properly.
Some boats require custom fabrication work to mount electronics cleanly and safely. We handle that in-house rather than subcontracting it out.
We install all major marine electronics brands including Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, Furuno, and Lowrance. We’re certified with most manufacturers, which means your warranty stays valid.
Different brands excel in different areas. Garmin has excellent fishfinders, Raymarine makes great autopilot systems, and Simrad offers advanced networking capabilities. We’ll recommend what works best for your needs and budget.
We can also integrate different brands into one cohesive system. Your Garmin fishfinder can share data with your Raymarine chartplotter if that’s the setup that makes sense for your boat.
Absolutely. Many boats have outdated electronics that still have good mounting locations and wiring runs. We can often reuse existing installations to save you money.
Sometimes the old wiring needs to be replaced if it’s not up to current standards or if the new electronics require different power or data connections. We’ll assess what can stay and what needs upgrading.
Older boats sometimes need electrical system updates to handle modern electronics safely. We handle that work too, including upgrading your boat’s main electrical panel if necessary.
Yes, we come to your boat whether it’s at a marina, in your driveway, or at a boatyard. Mobile installation is often more convenient and lets us work around your schedule.
Some complex installations require shop facilities for custom fabrication work. In those cases, we’ll discuss the best approach – either bringing your boat to our facility or doing the fabrication work separately.
We carry all the tools and equipment needed for on-site installation. Our mobile setup includes everything from basic hand tools to specialized marine electronics testing equipment.
Marine electronics must withstand salt water, constant moisture, vibration, and temperature extremes that would destroy automotive equipment quickly. The components are built to much higher standards.
Marine wiring uses tinned copper conductors that resist corrosion, while automotive wire uses bare copper that fails in marine environments. Connections require special marine-grade heat shrink and sealants.
Even the mounting hardware is different. Stainless steel fasteners and proper backing plates are essential in marine installations. Automotive mounting methods simply don’t work on boats long-term.
